1. Core Commitment: Zero Remote Data Collection
TradeGuard Assistant ("the Extension") is designed with a privacy-first, zero-knowledge architecture. We do not collect, store, transmit, process, or sell any personal data, browsing history, credentials, or trading metrics to any remote servers or third parties.
2. Local IPC Communication Only
The Extension functions solely as a local sensor for the TradeGuard desktop application:
- All real-time risk evaluations and enforcement calculations occur entirely on your local machine.
- Data exchange occurs exclusively via an encrypted local WebSocket loopback connection (
127.0.0.1) between the Extension and the local TradeGuard Windows Desktop Agent. - No web requests or telemetry data are sent outside your personal device environment.
3. Explanation of Extension Permissions
To enforce strict trading discipline, the Extension requests only the minimal necessary Manifest V3 permissions:
Used strictly to persist local state, UI configuration preferences, and active lockout timers within your local browser storage.
Used to maintain background connection keep-alive heartbeat timers with the local desktop agent.
Used solely to intercept local trading execution packets on supported broker platforms in real-time memory to trigger HUD overlays and discipline rules.
4. Data Sharing and Sale
Because TradeGuard does not collect any user data, we do not share, sell, transfer, or use user data for advertising, credit evaluation, or analytics under any circumstances.
